What types of flooring is offered at Home Roots Hardwood Flooring?

We specialize in the installation, refinish and repair of site-finished hardwood floors, and are very experienced with pre-finished hardwood, LVP and laminate plank. We are also able to provide you with flooring products for each type (site-finished, pre-finished, LVP and Laminate Plank.

What is the difference between a Screen & Re-Coat and a Refinish?

When refinishing your hardwood floors, your flooring goes through a three step sanding process . This will remove finish, stain and even most deep scratches/dents. We will then stain (unless wanting to keep it natural), seal and finish your newly fully sanded flooring. Ultimately, your wood floor will look brand new. 

A Screen & Coat buffs the top layer of finish. This will remove minor surface scratches only, any stain or deep scratches/dents will not be removed with a Screen & Coat.

Can I add onto my existing hardwood flooring?

Yes, we are able to lace in new flooring boards to your current flooring. This will allow for a nice flow into your added area, extending your hardwoods. 

Do you work with Insurance Claims for damaged floors?

We are experienced in repairing damaged areas in hardwood flooring. We are able to work with you and your insurance company to get your floors looking great again.

Can you fix squeaking areas in my floor?

Generally yes, we can help with squeaky spots in your floor. During your estimate let us know what areas are squeaky so that we are aware of this need when finishing your flooring.
